Okay. What is Nikud. Is it a Hebrew word or what?

As of 1/8/07 I figgured it out. Its the vowel system! Right?

Yes, nikud is the vowel sign.
ניקוד  = Nikud = vowel sign
נקודות  = Nekudot = vowel signs

Here is a link to a really nice Hebrew e-Book. It has nikud in the earlier readings but gradually phases them out. It also has sound files so you can hear as you read and best of all it is free.
